Miranda Hart has written a book featuring a collection of “joy-filled tasks”.
The comedian will be donating the royalties from Miranda’s Daily Dose Of Such Fun! to the Comic Relief charity.
The 208 page book offers readers “365 joy filled tasks to make your life more engaging, fun, caring and jolly.”
Hart explains: “There are tiny gestures that can make a huge difference to you and others around you. So, I say; every day try to do something jolly that you can look back on with a smile, be grateful for, knowing it has brought kindness to others at the same time.”
Suggested tasks featured in the book include smiling at a stranger on the morning commute, galloping down the road, and singing a well-known tune aloud.
Hart explains: “I have made the ideas in this book as universal and free or cheap as possible but of course sometimes you may need to make them work for you if your circumstances don’t allow them. And if there are any songs or talks or people you don’t know who I am referring to, then get thee to YouTube, they will all be on there.”
Miranda’s Daily Dose Of Such Fun! will be published on 9th March 2017, just ahead of Red Nose Day. Hart will be one of the comedians involved in presenting Red Nose Day on TV, which is due to take place on Friday 24th March. Details
Publisher Hannah Black from Hodder & Stoughton says: “It’s easy to feel weighed down by life’s challenges, but as Miranda knows so well and shows so brilliantly, small playful steps taken each day can have a big effect on our wellbeing and happiness. A timely guide to fun.”
Hart herself says: “The ideas in my book are small gestures that are easy to do and yet they will bring a smile to your face and happiness to others around you. Imagine doing this every day for a whole year – a daily dose of such fun! If there was ever a reason to have some childish fun and break our monotonous and often negative adult habits then this book is it.”
The book is available to pre-order now.
